I had mixed feelings about my stay at Shibuya Granbell Hotel. The location is very convenient, making it easy to explore Shibuya, but the room I stayed in was quite outdated and felt a bit grimy. While the reception staff was pleasant, my experience with management was disappointing, leaving me quite frustrated during checkout.

Rooms
5.0
The room was outdated and poorly designed, with furniture that had markings and a very dim atmosphere. Despite the room size being reasonable by Tokyo standards, it felt cramped and lacked a welcoming vibe.
Service
5.0
While the receptionists were nice and helpful, my interaction with the manager was particularly unhelpful and unempathetic during checkout, which severely impacted my experience.
Location
5.0
The location is convenient for accessing Shibuya station and nearby attractions, but navigating the overhead bridges can be tricky and inconvenient, especially with luggage.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was simple and not very appealing after a few days, leading me to skip it for lunch instead.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel offered basic facilities but nothing particularly impressive. The air conditioning setup was problematic during my stay in autumn, leaving the room stuffy.

6.4/10

I stayed at Shibuya Granbell Hotel and found it to be a mixed experience. The location is convenient, just a few minutes from the Shibuya JR station, but the hotel itself feels outdated and not well-maintained. While the staff were friendly, the service could be better, especially considering some shortcomings I encountered. Overall, I would suggest looking for alternatives nearby, especially for a better atmosphere and accommodation.

Rooms
5.0
I was disappointed with the room. it felt small and dated. The view was nonexistent, facing a concrete wall. The air conditioning was fixed at a heating function, which made it uncomfortable.
Service
5.0
The customer service was quite lacking. I had to carry my own luggage, and there was a notable absence of greetings from the front desk. When I needed assistance, they seemed indifferent.
Location
7.0
The hotel’s location is a plus. it's only a 5-minute walk from the bustling Shibuya Crossing, making it super convenient for exploring. However, it was sometimes tricky to navigate due to construction nearby.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was pretty lackluster. the selection was basic, and I ended up skipping it on the second day. Dining options seem more geared towards Japanese tastes, which didn’t suit me.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were limited. the hotel lacked proper amenities, and there was nothing special about the appearance or cleanliness of the dining areas.

I had a mixed experience at Shibuya Granbell Hotel during my recent stay. The location is absolutely perfect, just a short walk from Shibuya Station and surrounded by eateries. However, the room was quite small and navigating with luggage was challenging. Additionally, while the staff was friendly and accommodating, the breakfast offerings were rather basic. Overall, it was a decent stay but might not be ideal for longer visits.

The hotel's location really is its strongest point, being incredibly close to Shibuya Station and plenty of dining options (perfect for exploring the area).
Dining

Breakfast was quite basic and not very well replenished, which was disappointing (definitely room for improvement).
Facilities

Cleanliness was up to standard, and they had some useful amenities, although the bar area could be improved for comfort.

The Shibuya Granbell Hotel is perfectly situated just a short walk from the iconic Shibuya Crossing, making it incredibly convenient to explore the area. However, my experience was marred by the uncomfortable bed and noise from ongoing construction nearby.

Rooms
6.0
The room was small, which I expected for Tokyo, but it was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the good shower and the option to open a window, yet the centrally controlled temperature made it difficult to adjust my comfort level.
Service
8.0
The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. They went above and beyond to assist with luggage and restaurant reservations, which made my stay more enjoyable.
Location
8.0
I loved the location, close to transportation and plenty of dining options. Though, navigating the area was a bit tricky due to nearby construction.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast options were disappointing with limited selection. The Japanese style was the best choice, but I expected more variety overall.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered basic facilities. However, I wished for more variety in the room service menu since it only featured pizzas.

My stay at Shibuya Granbell Hotel had a mix of experiences. While the location was incredibly convenient, just a few minutes from the Shibuya station, the condition of the hotel really let it down. I found the lobby to be a bit chaotic and the rooms could use some updating. Overall, it wasn't exactly what I hoped for during my time in Tokyo.

Rooms
5.0
The room was smaller than I expected, with limited walking space and not much natural light. The view was disappointing as I faced a wall just a few meters away. However, I appreciated the comfortable bed and strong shower pressure.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly, the check-in process was slow and inefficient. I also faced issues regarding my queries about transportation options.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is one of its best features, just a short walk from Shibuya station, allowing easy access to the city. I enjoyed the quiet neighborhood while still being close to exciting areas.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast options were basic and not very appealing. I found the café on the ground floor to serve great pizza, which was a nice surprise, but overall, dining didn't meet my expectations.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities are pretty basic, and I have to say that some amenities felt outdated or lacking when compared to other hotels I've stayed in Japan.
